My Manic Monday

mondaykillinmeManic Monday:

-I'm coming down with a cold today.  That sucks.  Who get's a cold when it's hot outside?  Something I'll never understand.

-So this past weekend, the iPhone 3GS came out.  I didn't get, but others did.  Who got it?

-I wrote a blog post last week on reality, check it.  And let me know what you think.

-I'm also working on a blog series titled "Why I like/dislike the SBC" in light of this week's Southern Baptist Convention in Louisville, KY.

-I updated the design of my blog post.  What do you think?  Do you like it?

-If you want to follow the conflict in Iran, you can follow real time updates from Twitter using Twitter Search or Tweettabs and typing #iranelection.  Very helpful, as Twitter seems to be the only means of communication in Iran.

-My final interview is tomorrow at 2:00.  Once I get it, I'll let you know what I'll be doing.  I think it will be a nice change from what I've been doing.

-This is, I think, my first summer since 9th grade that I haven't gone with a youth group to Summer Camp.  Everyone who is going on a Summer Camp or Trip, have fun!

-And finally, for those of you who haven't check out IamSecond, do it.  Video's of average joe's and celebrities telling their testimonies of how they came to put themselves second and Jesus first.

My Manic Monday (Birthday Edition)

photo-1071Well, I'm finally 21, here are some things you may not know about me:

  • When I was younger, I was afraid of my shadow.
  • When I was 9 years old, I played chicken with a friend on a bike.  We hit head on and and I broke my tooth.
  • I'm double-jointed in my toes.  Not sure how I found out about that?
  • My first car was a 1995 Mustang 5.0 that I bought at the end of my sophomore year in high school ... I loved that car.
  • I've owned my current and only pair of rainbows for 5 years and counting.
  • At one point in my life, I wanted to be a meteorologist.  I think the weather is so fascinating, and if you get a forecast wrong, you can keep your job.  How easy can it be!
  • My first job was keeping score for soccer games.  It was a tough job ...
  • I've come to find out that I work best late at night, between 1AM and 2:30AM ... I'm definitely a night owl.
  • I'm was not good at writing, and English, and Science as I went through school.  I was, and am, only slightly good at math.  Other than that, the academics rocked me while growing up.
  • One of my favorite authors is C.S. Lewis
  • And finally, I used to have a favorite food, hamburger helper, but then I moved into an apartment and made it so much that I got tired of it.   Now my favorite food is a free meal.

I appreciate all of you who read my manic monday posts.  Have an awesome week and don't forget to Love.
