is Extravagant.
This week has sucked, to say the least. But I'm reminded through this song, that Christ loves it when we drop everything and fall into the arms of love.
So give up your attempts to control your life. Give up the reigns and fall into the arms of the Savior, and watch what happens.
Love Is Not Against The Law
Today is Valentines day.
I don't like Valentines for the sheer fact that our culture puts way too much emphasis on love on this specific day, not to mention the fact that it's the wrong kind of love.
This song reminds me of what love is. And for the longest time I've wanted to blog about the wonderful lyrics that Derek Webb writes, so here are the words of Webb in his song, "Love is not against the Law" --

May you come to understand that Love is not limited to a certain socioeconomic status. Love reaches out to the broken, the poor, the annoying, the sick, and the unloveable.
Love is contagious. May you not only love your friends and family, but the person who cut you off in traffic, that annoying co-worker, and that annoying relative that you have to see every family reunion.
Once we, and myself, understand this, we will truly see Christ represented in our words and deeds.
Love is not against the law.
My Manic Monday
Hopefully your day is going better than this guy's day:
- I watched the superbowl at my apartment alone because I had a terrible headache.
- Speaking of the Superbowl, this was my favorite commercial by far.
- I broke my 2 week battle with soda, drinking closer to half a liter of soda.
- This weekend is our Purity Weekend for the students at Bayleaf.
- Speaking of Purity - "Each day 7,700 US teenagers lose their virginity."
- Oh snap, Michael Phelps did something that is illegal.
- I went and saw this movie this past weekend. I thought it was decent, although I wanted more action.
- I get to hear this guy in Chapel this week, and I'm really looking forward to it. You may have heard of him?
- Their new album comes out on February 3rd.
- This video will break your heart and force you to see reality. "Feed the hungry and clothe the homeless."
- I'm beginning to jog every night for at least one mile. So far, I'm two days in. We'll see how long that lasts.
- President Obama added his weekly address on January 31st using social media.
- The Office came on after the Superbowl for an hour, and it was by far the best episode ever.
- And finally, "I have to make sure youtube comes down to tape this."
