To Whom It May Concern thoughts about life as I see it

My Manic Monday

Yeah, I'm gonna go without a picture for this post:

  • Do you want to get into photography?  Check out the Digital Photography School.  I love their website, because it's extremely helpful and practical.
  • Ok, so we have Facebook, Twitter, and now, Buzz?  Do you Buzz?  Not sure I want another thing to keep up with?  I already like the use of twitter with foursquare.
  • If you're reading this and attend the WFR Campus Life, check out our Formspring, and ask questions!  Oh, and if you're not a part of Campus Life, make a formspring so we can all ask you questions.
  • What the heck is curling?  I've only seen people take curling seriously at public swimming pools with old people or at random times (aka when the winter olympics are on).  I don't get it.
  • What's your favorite TV show?
  • Oh, and would you become a fan of my Photography and visit my website?  That would rock.
  • "To lose what I owe to Plato and Aristotle would be like the amputation of a limb." -C.S. Lewis // Now that I'm deep within my theology major, I whole-heartedly agree with this.
  • Oh now that's kind of cool, some colleges are accepting YouTube videos as part of the college application process.
  • And finally, WHERE IS SPRING.  I hate winter.

Have a fantastic week, good people of the internet.

My Manic Monday

mondayWhoops, it's Tuesday but I'll go ahead and post away:

  • This weekend I was a part of Disciple Now Weekend with Lyle Sacco's Church.  It was a blast.
  • I also went to a Wedding this weekend, and had an amazing time.  Not to mention, I had one of the best meals ever.
  • In a mere 10 days, the Black Friday plague is going to sweep the nation's retailers.  Including the Best Buy I work at.  I have NO idea what to expect.
  • I've played way too much of this new game.  It sold 7, yes seven, million copies the first day it came out, breaking the record for the most sold game on day 1 for ANY video game, including Halo 3.  Whoa.
  • Oh hey, you can now use Twitter and Facebook on the Xbox 360.  That's cool.  Next thing you'll know, twitter will be embedded into our brains.
  • What I've been listening to recently: John Mayer's "Battle Studies" and Taylor Swift's "Fearless."  This is how I roll.
  • And finally, if you are a photographer, then check this out.  Help someone out by taking their picture.

My Manic Monday

mondayHello Monday:

  • Daylight savings time: It gets dark way too soon.  I'm not sure if I like it, but waking up with the sun in my face helps.
  • One of my favorite bands, Copeland, announced that they're parting ways.  Listen to Copeland and be inspired.
  • The top Internet Memes of 2009
  • Two pictures that summed up the last few days for me: This & This.
  • Why is Facebook recommending I "reconnect" with people I'm friends with?
  • 8 days until the best game of the year releases.  Who's getting it?
  • Deas Vail has a new album out.  They even got a shout-out from Matthew Thiessen on twitter.
  • I've been playing around with Google Wave recently.  Pretty cool in theory, especially for those in ministry and churches.  Don't know what Google Wave is? Check it
  • If you have an iPhone, and you don't have I Am T-Pain, you are totally missing out.
  • And finally, seriously, go listen to Copeland.  They're amazing and you are totally missing out if you never hear the angelic voice of Aaron Marsh.

Happy Monday.

My Manic Monday

Ah yes:

  • I have a job interview today, and I hope I get this job.  More details to come.
  • I'm reading through "Crazy Love," by Francis Chan and "Miracles," by C.S. Lewis.  Definitely check them both out, and if you're academically gifted, "Miracles" will be right up your alley.monday
  • For those of you who want to remember what happens in life, then write.  I began a journal, and it's helped so much in gathering my thoughts and what not.
  • I've probably listened to this band most this week, since I've been up late almost every night.
  • Do not expect God always to give you His thrilling minutes, but learn to live in the domain of drudgery by the power of God. -Oswald Chambers
  • Sometimes, I feel that the domain of drudgery is the majority of life, so that's why I posted that quote.  Pretty encouraging to me, and hopefully to you.
  • I have a facebook vanity URL now, which is ridiculously cool, www.facebook.com/jmoss
  • Have you subscribed to the blog?  If not, do so here.  You will receive manna from heaven if you do.  Oh wait, God does that part.  Just kidding.
  • Need a reminder of how Jesus changes lives?  Best 30 minutes on the internet I've ever spent was watching some video's on this website, Iamsecond.  Especially this video, it rocked my world.
  • Did you see the movie UP?  Here is the picture of the house that the movie was based off of.
  • And finally, don't waste your life.  Do something.  You have a purpose.  You were made by a Creator to serve others and Love God.  Do it.  Your life will never be the same.
