My Manic Monday
Well hello March:
- Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! He would have been 105 years old today.
- I was told I can't eat all of this.
- But I did.
- My Birthday is in 4 weeks. Sweet!
- When I got out of class Thursday night and saw this on my car, I became deeply saddened.
- So we're definitely in a recession if this guy is losing money.
- Yesterday began the "40 Days of Water" and I'm excited to try something of this magnitude.
- And I want this for my birthday ..
- These are all amazing pictures taken with a 2.0 megapixel camera: the iPhone's.
- Congrats to the Senior Guys Basketball Team for Bayleaf Baptist for winning the Championship and going undefeated!
- I hate Duke and the referee's of this game.
- Is there a new episode of The Office on this week or what? I'm ready for a new one!
- Here are all The Office quotes you'll need.
- And I'll leave you with a quote from C.S. Lewis:
God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.
Have an awesome week!
40 Days of Water
The season of lent is here. Although I'm posting this a few days after lent has started, I want to encourage you to participate in what blood:water mission is doing.
From March 1st to April 6th, Blood:Water Mission is encouraging everyone to give up drinking all beverages and only drink water. Now if someone buys you a beverage other than water, I wouldn't turn it down, unless you are doing this also for healthy reasons.
After the 40 days are up, donate the money that you would have spent on the beverages for the cause of clean water in Africa. I'm wondering, with my tendencies to drink Starbucks Mocha's at least 3 times a week, how much . I encourage all of those who are willing to give up Starbucks and Soda to take the 40 days of water challenge, and run with it.
Post your thoughts. Respond to this challenge. Stretch yourself. Sacrifice. I'm really curious to see how much money they raise and how much I spend on beverages other than water.
If you want more information, go to Blood:Water Mission and read about what they do and how to get involved.
My Manic Monday
This is what's going down:
- I'm going to the dentist on Monday to get a cavity filled. I have 4 cavities. Gross.
- This movie got 8 Oscars. And it was a fantastic movie, go see it if you haven't!
- Heath Ledger won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He deserved it. He played the Joker perfectly.
- Lose your job? Check out this list of things to do to land another job.
- From brick to slick: the evolution of cell phones.
- Who has topped Jesus as America's number one hero? I'm not sure Jesus was ever a hero for America. Or at least I couldn't tell.
- Facebook and CNN are teaming up to bring you President Obama's Address to Congress.
- Does Social Media make us better people? Interesting read.
- I have a macbook, and love it, but what about those who want a cheaper one? This guy takes a dell laptop and puts OS X on it. Awesome.
- The SEBTS President, Danny Akin, is deep. Here's proof.
- And last but not least, see where all that stimulus money went.
Have an awesome week!
My Manic Monday
Hopefully you don't have the case of the monday's:
- Had an interesting weekend and a valentines day.
- I served at a retirement home by pouring root beer floats for Senior Citizens and doing the cha cha slide with them.

- Oh no, this is what happens when there are too many things orbiting the earth.
- A fantastic article on love from relevant magazine.
- For the record, country music sucks.
- Another tragedy involving a plane. It's been a very weird past couple of weeks in regards to planes and tragedy.
- I went to the great commission resurgence conference at SEBTS, and heard some awesome preachers and speakers.
- Had lunch with the staff members. It was healthy... just kidding.
- I've converted a staff member to gmail, and soon everyone will see the light.
- There was a debate last night on twitter on the Holy Spirit. I enjoyed watching it. You know who you are!
- I like starbucks' new website a lot more than the old one.
- And lastly, if you feel like removing your facebook profile to go to twitter or something else, don't expect them to forget all your information.
